Cheryl Rose, LPC
Everyone can use a little support from time to time. As a student counselor, I’ve learned that the roots of my approach are grounded in person-centered theory. That means my focus is on you and I trust that you know yourself and your situation the best. I strive to create a warm and empathic space where you can feel safe enough to explore the branches in your life and learn to embrace change as growth. I have trained in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma, grief and loss, EMDR (in-training), mindfulness and self-compassion, and we may use some art interventions such as sand tray and clay therapy. I view the world through a feminist lens and support gender affirming care. It is my goal to provide space for all the identities that make you, you. I received a B.S. degree in Psychology and a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of Idaho in 2012 and expect to graduate from Idaho State University – Meridian with a Master of Counseling in Clinical Mental Health in August 2024. I have a passion for working with adolescents (14+) and adults at any age or stage of life. I would be honored to walk along and bear witness to your journey. |
Tiffany Stimpson, LMSW
Our minds and bodies can resort to maladaptive coping skills after experiencing hardships and trauma. These coping skills help our bodies and minds navigate hardship initially but can be harmful in the long run. Therapy can help us understand these patterns and why they originated and find new ways to cope with difficult experiences or emotions. Therapy should entail becoming more connected with our environments and our bodies and assist us in becoming more in control of our journeys. All individuals are capable of healing, experiencing joy and fulfillment, and self-acceptance to live their lives to the fullest. Tiffany is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW). She graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2020 and Northwest Nazarene University with a Master’s in Social Work in 2024. She approaches therapy as a collaborative experience between client and therapist in sessions. Clients are experts in their own lives, and therapists should meet clients where they are in their journey. Tiffany utilizes an integrated modalities approach, tailoring approaches to each client’s needs. Tiffany uses evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused behavioral therapy, somatic experiencing and sensorimotor therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, internal family systems, play therapy, and mindfulness. She also explores existential principles to assist clients with seeking meaning and purpose and finding direction. Tiffany also works with couples who are finding themselves stuck in patterns that feel dysfunctional and maladaptive. She strives to connect with each partner to validate their experiences and assist with creating positive change. Aside from some modalities listed above, she values research and utilizes the Gottman method to navigate communication, build emotional connections, and find new ways to experience one another. |

Domini Meyer, CPSS My passion for helping others who struggle with mental health & wellness recovery stems from being diagnosed with ADD & anxiety in my early 30 s. Learning this about myself helped me to both better navigate my own daily processes, as well as others whom I’m close too around me. I had witnessed and supported some of my immediate family members who had mental health diagnosis and addiction recovery journeys from an early age in life. I came to realize at a rather young age that working in the mental health field was going to be a goal of mine. I always found learning more about the self and healthy self-care systems were a natural passion of mine. To my surprise, my greatest growth came from learning to engage and embrace the community support system and resources around me! I believe people can thrive when seen and supported by one another. Together, we can help and heal so much! Before becoming a Peer Support Specialist, I worked in the cosmetology field for the past ten years where I spent many of my hours being privileged to hear from others about their personal life stories and struggles. I was raised in Boise, as well as my two teenage children. I enjoy the live music scene all year long. Going on green belt bike rides with friends. Getting into the cold river water on a hot summer day. Supporting live art, such as the Shakespeare festival or the Nampa Little Theatre, as well. I’m most excited to begin my journey in the mental health field and look forward to meeting and helping as many peers and families as possible. |

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, hitting the dance studio, and freestyling choreography. I also love to use my creativity through film by creating content. I'm excited to join PBHS where I can empower those whose voices deserve to be heard and connect those with the resources and skills needed to thrive. I found that I love what I do and using these skills is what grew my passion to join this profession of advocates. I look forward to meeting you and contributing shared goals to foster a supportive and inclusive community. |
Frank McGovern, BA, CBRS, CM
While earning his BA in History from the University of Idaho and Boise State University, Frank worked with members of vulnerable populations to support their success in daily life. Joining Primary Behavioral Health Services to support people bravely navigating mental health challenges represents a welcomed return to that kind of service. Whether working with kids or adults, he looks forward to doing his part to make anyone’s life that much more comfortable, productive, and fulfilling. When not at work, Frank loves reading, writing, and learning about all things interesting. Most of all, he treasures the time he spends with his amazing partner and their three adorable but naughty little dogs. |
Andrew Martinez, BS, CBRS, CM
Hey everyone! I grew up in Homedale, Idaho, and I’m a proud graduate of the University of Idaho, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Child, Family, and Consumer Studies. Post grad, I began my career working with kids as an intervention specialist before moving into a supervisor role as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), where I worked with adults in a supported living environment. With over three years of experience in this field, I am thrilled to join Primary Behavioral Health as a CBRS/Case Manager. I’m passionate in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and services. I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, and I look forward to contributing to the mission of Primary Behavioral Health and making a positive impact on our community. In the near future, I plan to further my education by earning a master’s in social work. Outside of work, I love being outdoors, whether it’s visiting the dog park, hiking with my dogs, fishing, or tent camping around Idaho. I also play recreational softball every spring and enjoy challenging myself—I recently completed a 5k and am now working towards a 10k. |

William Maxson, BS, CBRS, CM
Provider (he/him) is an avid outdoor enthusiast, and can frequently be found in the woods foraging for wild mushrooms and looking for the perfect stick. He enjoys hiking, camping, practicing primitive skills, and the occasional round of ski-ball, although he is not very good at it. He has an unhealthy obsession with tying knots and knows more about rope tension than should be allowed. He makes his own craft beer when time allows, and is looking to expand into mead. He’s exceptionally handsome but somehow still incredibly humble. His passion is helping people, and his experience is primarily in facilitating behavioral changes in adults with developmental disabilities. Provider graduated from Boise State University with a B.S. degree in Health Education, has earned a Developmental Specialist certificate from Idaho Health and Welfare, and has been working towards retirement ever since. He wishes you a fantastic day. |

Katie Riveland, BS, CBRS, CM
Hi there! My name is Katie, and I am a Community Based Rehabilitation Specialist and Case Manager for Primary Behavioral Health. I grew up in the fine, beautiful ( and cold) state of North Dakota, and graduated from North Dakota State University in 2015 with my B.S. in Human Development and Family Science and a Minor in Psychology. I’ve spent the majority of my career focusing on Child Development–helping children meet developmental milestones, offering early childhood resources, and working with families in the Montessori Education field. I have a passion for helping individuals and families with building independence and life skills. I’m eager to use my personal and professional experience to help our local community and be an advocate and voice for others on their unique journey in life. During my free time, you’ll find me outside adventuring–hiking, camping, and exploring with my husband and our sweet daughters. I enjoy a good book, a hot cup of coffee, many styles of music, playing piano, going to music shows (especially bluegrass), spoiling our fur-babies and anything that includes spending quality time with my family and friends. |
