Primary Behavioral Health Services Provides Outpatient mental health treatment to children, teens, and adults across the Treasure Valley.  Our mental health services includes:

Psychotherapy 

Psychotherapy is the practice of a trained professional clinician applying clinical techniques that originate from the principles of psychology in order to help clients adjust to situations in their lives, manage or change how they think, manage or change how they feel, alter certain behaviors, or bring about change in other areas of their lives. Interventions are designed to build on and/or develop client’s strengths, address identified needs, and improve and/or stabilize functioning of the client.
Outpatient individual psychotherapy services are offered in-person and through tele-mental health. This services is provided in a manner that is strengths-based, culturally competent and responsive to each client’s individual psychosocial, developmental and treatment care needs.

Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS)

Skills Building/CBRS is a home or community-based service that utilizes psychiatric rehabilitation interventions designed to build and reinforce functional skills. Skills Building/CBRS modalities and interventions vary in intensity, frequency, and duration in order to support a client’s ability to manage functional need independently. This service is available to adults recovering from a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and Serious Mental Illness (SMI). Skills Building/CBRS is driven by an individualized Skills Building treatment plan based on a client’s specific needs and strengths identified from a comprehensive diagnostic and functional assessment. Services are provided in a manner that is strengths-based, culturally competent and responsive to each client’s individual psychosocial, development, and treatment needs.

Case Management

Behavioral Health Case Management is a collaborative process that assesses, plans, links, coordinates, and monitors options and services that address a client’s needs. Case Management is provided to clients with a behavioral health diagnosis who are unable to navigate or coordinate the service system independently. Case management is intended to help clients gain access to behavioral health, medical, housing, vocational, and social services until the client can access these resources independently.

​Multicultural Services 

Primary Behavioral Health recognizes the the growing multicultural population resettling within our community.  We are dedicated to providing quality culturally relevant services that include multidimensional and multifaceted therapeutic approaches that are sensitive to each individuals experiences.   

Peer Support

Adult Peer Support services are provided by Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) who utilize their training, lived experience and experiential knowledge to mentor, guide and coach the member as he/she works to achieve self-identified recovery and resiliency goals. These services are designed to promote empowerment, foster self-determination, and choice, and inspire hope as the member progresses through the recovery process. CPSS use their lived recovery experience from a mental health diagnosis and specific specialist training to assist adult members with defining their goals for recovery and developing a recovery plan. They also assist members with developing the skills for a proactive role in their own treatment plan and to help members connect with other members and with their self-defined community.
